100 Kilos des Pommes

This blog post will be rather short...

Today, we prepared for our trip tomorrow. Around 4am Saturday morning, we are taking a train to Bayeux. We'll be picked up in the train station and taken to Hotel Le Bayeux. It's a nice little place that offers a D-Day tour package. We have reservations for our rooms, a D-Day tour (the arromanches, Point Du Hoc, Omaha Beach, the American cemetery, and the German batteries), a full Normandy-style dinner (huge, amazing meal...), and breakfast Sunday morning. Before we leave Sunday, we're also hoping to see the Bayeux Tapestry (Justin has family connections to William the Conqueror, so we kind of want to see it).

Obviously, in the near future, there will be beaucoup photos posted!

Other things that happened today....we went grocery shopping. In my cold, tired stupor, I asked for 100 kilos of dried apples rather than 100 grams. In other words, I ordered twice my body weight in dried apples....quit judging me! I really like dried apples!!

Obviously I corrected myself, but not before an old Frenchman got a good laugh at my expense....I really do love dried apples.
